Pencil Sculptures - Dalton Ghetti

These are sculpted from the graphite in everyday lead pencils that have been discarded.




The extremely patient, skilled, Dalton Ghetti uses his naked eye, a sewing needle and a tiny metal blade to carve the graphite.


 

The artist doesn't sell them - he does them for himself. Each piece takes months to finish. The chain (pictured above) took over two years.

Oil paintings - Matthew Davis

These incredible paintings are created by Matthew Davis. He drips oil paint into little pools and lets them dry over several days before adding more pools of paint.

Not only extremely clever, but the patience!

Would be great to see in real life.
